The Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme has been launched in Tripoli, bringing together 25 academics and faculty members specializing in renewable energy and agriculture from a number of Libyan universities and technical and educational institutions. The programme is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of higher education, strengthen teaching practices, and equip academic staff with modern, interactive teaching methodologies that contribute to improved learning outcomes.

This programme builds on a previous training pathway implemented in collaboration with ESPRIT University, during which Libyan academics specializing in renewable energy and agriculture participated in training aimed at developing their skills in modern teaching methods and active learning approaches.

The current programme focuses on ensuring the sustainability of these results through practical modules covering the design of learning activities, project- and problem-based learning, modern assessment methods, as well as facilitation skills and classroom interaction management. These components help strengthen the role of educators as facilitators of the learning process.

This activity is implemented under the EU4Skills project, funded by European Union in Libya with a financial contribution from the French Government, and implemented by Expertise France in cooperation with its Libyan partners. The project aims to support skills development and enhance employability in Libya.
