Towards Excellence and Innovation in Higher Education: Executive Capacity-Building Program for the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
As part of the EU4Skills project activities and within the scope of supporting the implementation of Libya’s National Framework for Graduate Employability, an executive capacity-building program for staff of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was launched, bringing together senior officials, academics, administrators, and decision-makers from across the higher education sector.
The program aimed to strengthen participants’ institutional and leadership capacities through discussions on key issues shaping the future of higher education, including education quality and relevance, international recognition and partnerships, the social role of universities, scientific research and innovation, graduate employability, as well as the efficiency and sustainability of higher education institutions.
Held over three days, from 11 to 13 June, the program combined interactive sessions and practical workshops that enabled participants to exchange experiences, explore challenges and opportunities, and develop actionable plans to support institutional reform and advancement within Libya’s higher education sector.
The EU4Skills project is implemented by Expertise France and funded by the European Union, with the support of the French Government, to support skills development and enhance employment opportunities in Libya
