Training of Trainers Program Launches in Digital Transformation and Modern Teaching Methodologies

On Sunday, May 17th , 2026, the Training of Trainers (ToT) program was launched at Saraya Hamra University as part of the digital transformation component of the EU4Skills project. The program was graciously hosted by Dr. Abdulraouf Algusbi, President of Saraya Hamra University, and attended by a distinguished group of representatives from relevant institutions, alongside academics from the Universities of Tripoli, Gharyan, Misrata, Sabha, and Al-Saraya Al-Hamra University, in addition to the College of Computer Technology and the College of Electronic Technology in Tripoli.

This program builds on a previous training track in which the same participants took part in advanced trainings organized by the project in collaboration with ESPRIT University in Tunisia. These trainings focused on developing digital curricula and adopting modern teaching methodologies within higher and technical education institutions.

The training will continue for a week under the supervision of ESPRIT University. It aims to transfer the knowledge and expertise gained during previous trainings to a wider audience within Libyan educational institutions, contributing to the sustainability of the training’s impact and supporting the development of higher, technical, and vocational education through modern educational practices based on digital transformation and interactive learning.

EU4Skills is an initiative funded by the European Union in Libya with a financial contribution from the Government of France. The project is implemented by Expertise France in partnership with Libyan institutions. It aims to develop educational curricula and strengthen professional skills in line with labor market needs, while also supporting the transition toward green, blue, and digital economies, and enhancing banking sector capacities to improve access to finance.
